Selling Areas

The Ruby Country Market takes place on a purpose built market site which lends itself to some different trading areas. If you are un-sure of where to trade, here are the   Pitch Prices  Market Floor Plan  also a few guide lines which may help you decide.

The General Stallholder Info page applies to all areas and is then followed by the specifics that relate to the different trading areas so please read on.

FOOD HALL & FOOD SHIPPEN Our Food Hall has been established based on the quality & variety of products on offer from local suppliers & it has gained itself a good reputation and now stands amongst a rating with some of the top local shows. We constantly work to keep this standard & improve on it and this is one of the reasons we try not to duplicate too much on people selling the same product and will need to ask new sellers for their stock list.

  • Trestle Tables of approx 8′ or 13′ are supplied and already set up.
  • Ruby Country Market holds a Temporary Event Notice (TEN) from West Devon Borough Council for the Food Hall, this permits the selling of alcohol in this area only.
  • Stallers require a Public and Product Liability Insurance.
  • A 13amp electric point (not heavy duty) can be supplied but only around the walls of the hall and are limited but we will do our best to accommodate you.
  • Electrical Appliances used must have a current PAT -Portable Appliance Test Certificate and Gas Appliances must be Gas Safety Tested.
  • If you need extra help unloading , porters are on hand or if you require special arrangements please discuss them with us.
  • The Food Hall is not a Fast Food Selling Area, we encourage stallers to give away samples but Fast Food Retailing Spaces are available elsewhere on the site, please ask for details.

MAIN HALL &  BULL PENS – all kinds of everything’ for Homes and Gardens

  • We do not provide tables for these Selling areas .
  • Stallers require a Public and Product Liability Insurance.
  • The selling of Food Items is not permitted in any of these areas.
  • A 13amp electric point (not heavy duty) can be supplied for lighting use only in the Main  Hall and must be pre booked & paid so that cables can be laid through the pens. Lights used must have a current PAT -Portable Appliance Test Certificate This facility is not available for the Bull Pens

OUTSIDE SPACE‘all kinds of everything’ for Homes & Gardens

  • We do not provide tables for these Selling areas .
  • You are requested to bring a gazebo & adequate weights or tie downs with you.
  • Stallers require a Public and Product Liability Insurance.
  • The selling of Food Items and Fast Food is only permitted in these areas by prior arrangement.
